Online Music Lessons with an Award-Winning Teacher

 Frances Jenkins MA, BA (Hons.)


A remarkably talented and expressive musician who has been performing since the age of 8, Frances was the recipient of the Wellingborough School Music Scholarship in 1995. Having been trained by Russian and Suzuki-method teachers as a child, Frances obtained her classical grades before training in Popular Music at the University of Glamorgan, achieving the SVR Scholarship. Most recently Frances is the recipient of the National Productivity and Investment Fund 2017 PhD studentship in Composing for Online Music Lessons at Falmouth University. She is developing a manual of online piano pedagogy, using all the latest technologies. 

Frances has performed live on many stages in the UK and abroad and is a former first soprano with the BBC National Chorus of Wales.

Frances teaches all styles of piano/vocals and all ages, specialising in making people play well quickly. She has a 100% pass rate for ABRSM practical examinations, her students have won awards at the National Eisteddfod and music scholarships at private schools. Her students past and present include numerous celebrities, professional artists and their own children.
